Sandrah Tubobereni is the Creative Director of TUBO, a fashion house based in Lagos, Nigeria.

The multi-award-winning and internationally acclaimed fashion designer is best known for her creativity and impact on the traditional African bridal design. Through her designs, Sandrah brings to the fore, an appealing innovation in fashion, a distinct silhouette and chic prêt-à-porter fashion clothing.

As a Summer 2018 alumna of the London College of Fashion, University of Arts; she studied the intricacies of producing a fashion label. She is also an MBA graduate of Coventry University, London where she bagged a distinction in Global Financial Services.

Tubobereni is a blend of creativity and impact, with key focus on not just the business and numbers, but the impact on National Development. Her focus on Community Development and hunger for a better Nigeria entrenches her creativity and ability to do greater things in the industry.

For her, it goes beyond the continuous improvement in sales and production.


Tubobereni made her debut into the Nigerian fashion scene in November 2014, switching from a flourishing career in Business Development and Finance; to Fashion.

TUBO is a brand that Sandrah Tubobereni built organically, from her bedroom in Dolphin estate, Lagos, with very little to no funds to start with, but just a vision and core values that she was dedicated to.

In 2017, she released her first official fashion projection – a collection inspired by the acknowledgement of what a woman embodies – showcasing the TUBO Woman.

Creating a cohesive collection that communicated a visual metaphor of the Fragility, Femininity and Strength of Women, she birthed the anti-fictitious womenswear label. This sophisticated collection received a lot of accolades and carved the brand’s unique space in the Global Fashion industry as it was sought after at home and abroad.

Moving with class and style, she went ahead to flag her first Bridal Collection, “HER FORM”, in 2018.

In 2019, Tubobereni moved to launch her second bridal collection, “VICTORIA 2019”. She also launched her ready-to-wear line #TUBORTW with the primary objectives of rewriting the African narrative, by projecting African art and culture using Nigerian symbols, masquerades and masks to make printed fabrics and scarves.

Through this indigenous print collection, she passed a strong message about stolen artworks from the Benin Kingdom and goes on to reinforce the beauty of culture and tourism in Lagos, by displaying the beauty of the EYO masquerade.

Since her entrance into the fashion scene, she has been honoured with several awards including The Future Awards, ELOY Awards, APPOEM Awards, Fashion Finest Awards, BusinessDay Awards and many nominations within and outside her country home.

She has taken the TUBO luxury womenswear fashion house across the shores of Nigeria to Amsterdam, London and Ghana; showcasing at several fashion weeks in the cities.

As a household name in Nigeria, her luxurious designs are go-to pieces for industry favourites including Tiwa Savage, Rita Dominic, Toke Makinwa and many others.


Tubobereni’s vision is to change the world through fashion, elevating the womenswear fashion brand beyond being the runway’s most anticipated pieces to being the wardrobe staple for stylish women all over the world.

As a feminist, she seeks equality and equal opportunities for men and women. Her passion for the empowerment of the youth and women, National development and poverty alleviation waxes strong.

In 2017, TUBO partnered with the Life Changers Foundation as a co-sponsor for their annual charity walkathon.

As part of the 2019 National Independence Day celebration in Abuja, TUBO was hosted by the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, where she volunteered as a judge, alongside Tara Fela Durotoye and Richard Mofe Damijo to decide on winners of grants at the National Youth Entrepreneurship Empowerment (NYEE) Summit. She facilitated a Masterclass for beneficiaries of these grants in partnership with the Jimi Tewe Company, where she expressed capacity to mentor and ability to transfer her knowledge of the business of her talent.


Tubobereni’s goal is to mentor the next set of entrepreneurs and groom them into problem solvers and Nigeria’s new tribe of National developers. While on her journey of excellence, she is inspired daily to improve her leadership skills and do better with every opportunity.

With several nominations and awards to her name, she constantly reiterates her passion for serving in a community of young leaders, who regardless of the challenges faced daily in the industry and economy at large, have made the conscious decision to be change and community development agents who will prioritize the future of Africa as they make decisions daily and build businesses.


Sandrah Tubobereni shares her wealth of knowledge in running a business in Nigeria, based on her first-hand experience and acquired knowledge, through her interactive sessions on social media where she engages other upcoming and established entrepreneurs.
